Gwendolyn Gong is a professor in the Department of English at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and founding editor of the Asian Journal of English Language Teaching (AJELT). She was formerly the Acting Director of the English Language Teaching Unit at CUHK, Director of Freshman English Studies at Texas A&M University in the United States, and visiting lecturer at the Institut Teknologi MARA in Malaysia; she also has been a Technical Communication Delegate for People to People International to Russia and the Czech Republic. Her teaching, research, and publication focus on writing, literacy, sociolinguistics, gender, and discourse analysis.
Sam Dragga is professor of technical communication and chair of the Department of English at Texas Tech University. A past president of the Association of Teachers of Technical Writing, he served as a Technical Communication Delegation Leader for People to People International to the People's Republic of China as well as to Russia and the Czech Republic. He is co-author of Reporting Technical Information (2006) and is series editor of the Allyn & Bacon Series in Technical Communication. He is a Fellow of the Association of Teachers of Technical Writing and a recipient of the Society for Technical Communication's Jay R. Gould Award for Excellence in Teaching Technical Communication.
